Ryan Companies Inc. in Austin is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support the project team under supervision. The role focuses on educating the employee in field and office operations and their relation to the physical construction of the project.

You will assist with shop drawing coordination, office/field support, estimating, material purchases, and inventory maintenance while monitoring schedules and subcontractor activities.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required, preferably in construction related field.
• Experience or ability to interface with field and office operations.

Responsibilities

• Shop drawing coordination.
• Office/field support staff.
• Estimating and quantity take off.
• Purchase necessary materials to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain material and equipment inventory at project site.
• Schedule monitoring and updating.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules and material deliveries.
• Assist in preparing billings and reviewing invoices.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
