Job summary

Intellectt Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Asset Management to develop and maintain asset information, equipment hierarchy, PM programs, BoMs, and reliability initiatives for our industrial facilities.

You will support CMMS platforms such as Maximo and SAP PM, conduct asset walkdowns, review P&IDs and drawings, create asset registers, and define maintenance strategies based on criticality. Collaboration with maintenance, reliability, operations and engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Process/Packaging Plants

Job description

The Mechanical Engineer - Asset Management will be responsible for developing and maintaining asset information, equipment hierarchy, preventive maintenance programs, Bills of Materials (BoM), and reliability improvement initiatives for industrial facilities. The role involves supporting asset management systems such as Maximo, SAP PM, or other CMMS platforms to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, and operational excellence.

• Conduct asset walkdowns and field verification activities to collect the data.
• Review P&IDs, equipment drawings, manuals, and plant documentation for asset information.
• Develop and maintain asset registers for mechanical equipment.
• Create and validate equipment, master data and asset attributes.
• Establish equipment hierarchy and parent-child relationships for CMMS deployment.
• Develop Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans for mechanical equipment.
• Prepare Job Plans, Task Lists, and Standard Maintenance Procedures.
• Validate Bills of Materials (BoM) for maintainable assets.
• Define maintenance strategies based on equipment criticality and OEM recommendations.
• Create structured asset hierarchies aligned with client standards.
• Prepare Maximo/SAP-ready asset upload templates.
• Support CMMS cleansing, enrichment, and standardization activities.
• Validate asset master data prior to system upload.
• Coordinate with maintenance, reliability, operations, and engineering teams for obtaining the data.
• Interact with OEMs and vendors to obtain technical information.
• Participate in client reviews, workshops, and technical discussions.
• Provide periodic progress reports and technical updates.
• Experience: 5-7 years in Process / Packaging plants (OIL/GAS/FMCG / Pharma / Food/Power Generation) including Asset Management.

Qualification

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering OR Engineering
• 5-7 years of experience in Process / Packaging Plants.
• Experience in Oil/Gas/FMCG / Pharma / Food industries.
• Strong experience in Asset Management / CMMS.
• Experience with Maximo, SAP PM, or other CMMS platforms.
• Good understanding of mechanical equipment, maintenance strategies, and asset reliability.

PREFERRED

• MS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Comprehensive vehicle propulsion system-level knowledge
• Ability to understand differences between analog inputs, H bridge drivers, High side PWM frequency
• Ability to understand controller HWIO, and or LIN, CAN and SENT protocols
• Ability to comprehend the subsystem differences between ECU, HWIO sensor and actuator sub-system functionality of a given devices.
• Ability to read and comprehend software source code and models actions.
• Familiarity with version control systems (VCS) tools like Git, SVN and TFS.
• Familiarity with simulation data management (SDM) systems like TeamCenter and RTC.
• Familiarity with GCC compiler, gdb debugger, Eclipse, and ETAS INCA measurement and calibration tools
