Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation seeks a Field Engineer for our Midtown Bus Terminal project site in New York City. The role involves field layout, quantity tracking, coordination with subcontractors, and ensuring work adheres to contract documents and schedules.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field and at least five years of civil construction experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and field layout software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Five (5)+ years of experience in civil construction (field or internship acceptable).
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Field Engineering & Layout: Prepare and submit Construction Work Plans and Safe Work Plans; prepare engineering drawings and shop drawings; review with Subcontractors.
• Construction Support: Assist the Superintendent, coordinate with subcontractors, review drawings and RFIs, support scheduling.
• Documentation & Reporting: Track quantities, maintain daily reports and as-built docs; assist with submittals and field changes.
• Quality & Safety: Monitor work for quality, participate in inspections, enforce safety policies.
• Coordination & Communication: Interface with project engineers, inspectors, utility partners, and authorities; support turnover and closeout.
