What part will you play?

Under general supervision, the Field Engineer will commission AV systems at client sites to ensure optimal performance according to scope and design. Responsible for drawing redlines, network coordination, and communication with the project team.

What will you be doing?

  • Commission AV systems at client sites by optimizing equipment settings, documenting changes via redlines, and completing quality checklists.
  • Pre-commission systems in the office.
  • Perform programming, configuration loading, testing, and debugging control systems with remote programmers.
  • Communicate status regularly to project stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues by tracing signal flow and engaging relevant parties.
  • Configure AV network and coordinate with client network.
  • Create and modify DSP files, focusing on AEC optimization for videoconferencing, and coordinate control objects with programmers.
  • Contribute lessons learned to improve system designs, product selection, and implementation.
  • Archive configuration and programming files with proper labeling.
  • Maintain and grow certifications and technical knowledge.

What do we require from you?

  • 1-3 years experience in AV installation/commissioning.
  • Effective communication with project team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot AV and network systems.
  • Familiarity with MTR and Zoom Rooms (Required).
  • AVIXA CTS (Preferred).
  • DSP certification from Biamp, QSC, BSS (Required).
  • Control certification from QSC, Extron, Crestron (Preferred).

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Self-starter with minimal oversight.
  • AVIXA CTS-I (Preferred).
  • Experience in system design or broadcast/live event systems.
  • Ability to commission and troubleshoot remotely.
  • Q-Sys Level 2 and Control, Shure Integrated Systems Level 1 (Preferred).

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, lift up to 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and have vision and hearing abilities required for the role.

Travel:

Frequent local travel (70-90%) and occasional air travel (up to 30%). Must possess a valid driver’s license. Remote travel up to 10% regularly.
