Job summary

Veit is seeking a Field Engineer to link field operations with project management on complex data center projects across the United States. You will coordinate execution, track production, and support cost control while ensuring safety and conformance to specs.

This field-based position offers hands-on project exposure and a clear path toward project management, with travel covering 80-100% of assignments nationwide.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in construction management, engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years’ experience or 4+ years of equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution with field operations and project management.
• Manage plans, costs, and project documentation within budget.
• Track production and assist with cost control efforts.
• Assist with permits, safety plans, and QA/QC documentation.
• Schedule meetings and maintain client and subcontractor communications.
