Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer to join our team on complex mission critical and data center projects. You will coordinate field operations with project managers and superintendents, track production, and assist in cost control and safety documentation.

This role requires extensive travel across the United States. Ideal candidates have an associate degree or higher in construction-related fields or 4+ years equivalent experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in construction management, engineering or related field with 0-2 years' experience or 4+ years of equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to work with field concepts and in the office.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project execution and field operations with Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Track production and monitor project costs and budget.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices and change orders.
• Assist with safety plans, QA/QC, submittals, RFIs, and documentation.
• Schedule meetings and manage communication with clients and staff.
• Travel 80-100% to job sites across the United States.
