Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to join our team delivering complex mission‑critical and data center projects across the United States.

You will coordinate field operations with project management, assist with cost control, and maintain project documentation while supporting safety and quality on site. The role involves heavy collaboration with Project Managers and Superintendents, extensive field travel, and opportunities to grow toward a Project Manager career.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in construction management, engineering or related field with 0-2 years’ experience or 4+ years of equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to work with field concepts and work in the office.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication (oral, written, presentation, listening).
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manages PlanGrid and HeavyJob for project work accuracy and monitors project costs within budget.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves supplier purchase orders; validates quantities for billing.
• Identifies and applies for local permits; performs safety observations on-site.
