Job summary

U.S. Engineering is seeking a Field Engineer to support project execution on mechanical construction sites. You will assist with planning, coordinate on-site activities, ensure quality control, and uphold safety standards.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent) and 1–3 years in mechanical construction; you will collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to track progress and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical construction or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects.
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to track project progress and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot challenges that arise in the field.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
  • Conduct field measurements and verify installation accuracy against design specifications.
  • Assist in quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Monitor and enforce job site safety in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Support project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
