Job summary

Orion is seeking a Field Engineer for our marine and heavy civil construction operations in Tampa. This entry-level role provides field engineering support on active projects, including surveying, layout, and material quantity calculations.

You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and craft professionals to ensure safe, accurate installation and project performance while gaining hands-on experience in self-perform construction.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidate with a Civil Engineering or related degree or internship.
• Strong reading of construction drawings, specs, and plans.
• Interest in project management, surveying, estimation, scheduling, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist field engineering, layout, surveying, and project controls on marine/heavy civil projects.
• Support documentation, procurement coordination, and material quantities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to ensure safety and quality.
• Learn self-perform construction methods and project execution.
