Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to develop future field leadership through hands-on experience in all aspects of construction management. This role works with experienced superintendents and field crews to plan, coordinate, and supervise projects, with a defined path toward a Job Superintendent position.

This entry-level opportunity focuses on site operations, reading drawings, scheduling, formwork, and safety compliance, with travel to field sites.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
• 1–2 years of internship or construction-related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to travel and work away from home office.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore/Bluebeam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily construction site operations including scheduling and logistics.
• Engage with field layout team to read and interpret drawings and RFIs.
• Shadow superintendents to learn formwork installation and crew management.
• Learn manpower planning for framing, decking, stripping, columns, and walls.
• Attend daily site meetings and toolbox talks with customers and suppliers.
• Learn construction management software used for scheduling and documentation.
• Participate in training with Safety, Formwork Engineering, and Yard Management teams.
• Partner with Job Superintendents to improve crew resources and customer management.
• Contribute to daily logs, concrete orders, payroll, and weekly planning meetings.
