Job summary

Ceco Concrete Construction, Houston, TX, is seeking a Field Engineer to develop future field leadership through hands-on experience in construction management. You will work with experienced superintendents and crews to plan, coordinate, and supervise projects.

This role offers a structured path toward a Job Superintendent position, with exposure to scheduling, RFIs, formwork, and crew management, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement within a stable organization.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Internship or 1–2 years of construction-related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily construction site operations, including scheduling and logistics.
• Observe and engage with field layout to read and understand drawings and RFI processes.
• Shadow Assistant Superintendents to learn formwork installation and crew management.
• Learn manpower planning for framing, decking, stripping, columns, and walls.
• Attend daily site meetings, toolbox talks, and coordination meetings with customers and suppliers.
• Learn construction management software for scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Participate in training with Safety, Formwork Engineering, and Yard Management teams.
