PCL Construction Services, Inc. invites you to join the Field Engineer Internship- Summer 2027 across our California Buildings district in Glendale, Irvine, San Diego and Santa Barbara.

As a full-time student pursuing Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture, you’ll gain hands-on project experience, mentorship through PCL’s College of Construction, and early exposure to real projects, field surveys and documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry such as Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, etc.
• Willing to pursue a career as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Willing to work and live in the Southern California area.
• Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations.
• Must be able to navigate through a construction site daily and work around heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
• Conducts safety audits and quality audits.
• Reads and understand drawings and specifications.
• Logs submittals, processes RFIs and prepares reports.
• Assists with surveying and project layout.
• Maintains and updates field drawings, field equipment and records.
• Coordinates material deliveries and documentation.
• Attends relevant project meetings.
• Prepares memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms and documents.
• Assists with project documentation requirements.
• Assists with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing.
