Job summary

Civil West, part of the PCL Family of Companies, is seeking a Field Engineer Intern to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects in California. You will collaborate with field staff, project managers, and trade partners while gaining hands-on experience on active sites.

This internship runs May through August and requires current full-time enrollment in construction-related studies. Relocation to project locations is expected, with mentorship and on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry.
• Available to work full time from May to August.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Willing to temporarily relocate to project locations.
• Have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
• Support safety and quality audits and documentation.
• Read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Log submittals, process RFIs, and prepare reports.
• Assist with surveying and project layout.
