Job summary

GBA Builders, based in Lenexa, is hiring a Field Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience across construction projects in the US. You will assist project managers, participate in preconstruction activities, and learn estimating, scheduling, quality control, and site coordination.

We seek students pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in fast paced situations while maintaining focus.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with daily activities: coordination, safety reports, logs, progress photos, and QA.
• Assist with estimating by contacting subcontractors and taking quantity takeoffs.
• Support quality control and schedule evaluations.
• Assist project buyout and preconstruction efforts.
• Interact with clients and design team to resolve issues.
• Attend site visits and help manage project budgets.
• Provide safety assistance on job sites.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
