Job summary

Kiewit’s Power Market internship offers hands-on learning in construction management across mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems. You will participate in estimating, scheduling, and onsite coordination while rotating through field operations.

Open to students pursuing Construction Management or related degrees, with a focus on safety, teamwork, and professional growth. Travel and relocation may be required as projects vary nationwide.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship to begin or continue employment.
• Broad knowledge of project scheduling and cost control; read specifications and drawings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with scheduling/estimating tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial systems.
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates.
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, track costs, and manage safety programs.
• Demonstrate leadership potential in a fast-paced construction environment.
