Job summary

Luster National Internship Program offers a 10-week immersive internship focused on CA High-Speed Rail (HSR) bridges and related field engineering tasks. Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students (Junior or Senior) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management at a CA four‑year university (Fresno State or UC Merced).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel to field sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and support the Project Manager in verifying design and construction processes, tracking, measuring, and reporting key metrics (scope, quality, risk, schedule, cost).
• Coordinate contractor activities focusing on budget, schedule, and cost controls.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort assessments, and gain exposure to scheduling and estimating in project management.
• Balance fieldwork and office tasks to track and manage construction activities.
• Participate in design reviews, quantity estimations, field inspections, and schedule evaluations.
• Attend executive meetings and site walks to understand project delivery.
