Union Pacific, a leading transportation and logistics company, invites an Engineering Department intern to support field operations across track, signal, and bridge maintenance. You will learn department processes by shadowing field managers and participating in project-based assignments.

Qualifications

• College credits equivalent to one year or more toward an undergraduate degree.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
• Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate organization, prioritization and time/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn core business processes and systems within department operations.
• Shadow field managers to observe and learn field operations.
• Support process improvement initiatives within track, bridge, or signal operations.
• Leverage data analysis to support project outcomes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with field employees and department leaders to implement solutions.
• Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts across the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
