Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation's Automated Logic division seeks a results‑oriented Field Engineer Intern to support startup, commissioning, and service turnover for building automation systems. You will work under lead engineers on pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components across local projects.

The role involves documenting As‑Built drawings in Visio, Excel, and Word, tracking progress, and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any Engineering field.
Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by our company’s insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

Assist with startup, commissioning and re-commission of customer systems that utilize pneumatic / electrical / electronic technology.
Assist with maintaining accurate As-Built drawing package and making changes in Visio, Excel, Word, as required.
Assist during calibration of systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals and/or a laptop computer.
Assist in static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming.
Assist in the set-up of operator workstations with all associated software.
Responsible for performing job database backups daily or as advised.
Assist with turnover to service.
Track and record job progress and keep lead project personnel informed on progress.
