Job summary

Shimmick is seeking a Field Engineer for its Northwest Division to support critical infrastructure projects across Northern California, including San Francisco, Modesto, Santa Cruz, and Sacramento. The role involves performing engineering tasks, preparing drawings, assisting with field inspections and project documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or Construction Management degree, with internship experience and familiarity with CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, environmental engineering or construction management.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks applying standard techniques and criteria.
• Develop drawings and visual aids; prepare related calculations.
• Assist with field inspections and with construction administration.
• Document deficiencies and deviations from plans; support project managers.
• Compile project information for reporting and funding requests.
• Create and maintain centralized project records; coordinate logistics.
