Job summary

Shimmick Corporation invites a Field Engineer to join the Vista Grande Drainage Basin Improvements project in Daly City, CA. You will support field crews, interpret drawings and contract requirements, and assist in scheduling, cost control, and coordination with the project team.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field plus 4 years of heavy civil experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Procore, and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 4 years of relevant heavy civil experience or equivalent.
• Experience with construction methods, means, and materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to field crews with drawings, specs, and contract requirements.
• Oversee layout, surveying, and grade control to maintain project accuracy.
• Collaborate with superintendent and project team on construction methodologies.
• Support superintendent with day-to-day tasks and manage subcontractor scopes.
• Coordinate with inspectors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Track RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and as-built documentation.
