Job summary

Shimmick Corporation’s Northwest Division in NorCal seeks a Field Engineer to support critical infrastructure projects across Northern California, including San Francisco, Modesto, Santa Cruz and Sacramento. Exact site is determined as work progresses.

You will perform engineering tasks, assist with field inspections, project documentation, and collaboration with project managers under supervision, contributing to on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or Construction Management.
• Internship experience in engineering or construction preferred.
• Proficiency with standard office software.
• Knowledge of CAD, GIS, and related engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Applying standard techniques and criteria to engineering tasks.
• Developing detailed drawings and engineering calculations.
• Assisting with field inspections to evaluate work and materials.
• Supporting construction administration and documentation.
• Working under supervision of a project manager or senior team member.
• Researching and compiling project information for reporting and funding requests.
• Creating and maintaining centralized files for project records (including digital).
• Coordinating logistics and meetings for project managers.
• Helping prepare reports, including monthly development reports.
• Assisting with community outreach duties and attending meetings.
