Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a Lead Field Engineer-Mechanical & Piping to support the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC. The role provides field engineering for process piping, firewater, service water, welding, and related mechanical construction activities.

You will review drawings, coordinate with Engineering and Construction, resolve field issues, and supervise Field Engineers on lead assignments.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of field engineering/industrial construction experience.
• Experience supporting process piping, firewater, service water, welding, or similar mechanical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, piping isometrics, and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of piping and welding codes, standards, and construction requirements.
• Experience coordinating technical issues between Engineering, Construction and Quality.

Aufgaben

• Provide field engineering support for process piping, firewater, service water, welding, and associated mechanical construction activities.
• Review drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, P&IDs, piping isometrics, and other technical documents to support field construction.
• Provide technical interpretation and clarification to Construction supervision and craft personnel.
• Support piping layout, installation, fit-up, welding, supports, valves, equipment connections, testing, flushing, and system turnover activities.
• Identify drawing conflicts, field interferences, constructability issues, and discrepancies between design documents and field conditions.
• Develop and/or coordinate RFIs and field changes and resolution of construction issues.
• Verify current drawings and specifications are available for construction activities.
• Coordinate technical issues with Engineering, Construction, Quality, Procurement, Planning, Commissioning, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
• Support material verification, substitutions, equipment issues, and resolution of procurement or installation discrepancies.
• Support welding activities through review of WPS/PQR/WPQ requirements, weld documentation, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with QC on inspection points, testing requirements, documentation, and resolution of nonconforming conditions.
• Support hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, flushing, system walkdowns, punch-list resolution, turnover activities.
• Maintain field engineering documentation and redlines.
