Job summary

PEG, LLC is seeking a Field Engineer In Training to join our energy efficiency team in Manassas, VA. This role focuses on learning Home Energy Audits and RESNET guidelines while supporting field projects for residential construction.

You will perform audits, collect data, operate test equipment, and work with builders and code officials. On-the-job training is provided; travel within a 100-mile radius is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be personable, enthusiastic, well-groomed, articulate.
• Must be adaptable to fluctuating inspection schedules.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Home Energy Audits in accordance with RESNET/Energy Star Guidelines including visual inspections and data collection.
• Utilize equipment to test system performance (infiltration, blower door, ventilation, ducts).
• Develop relationships with builders and code officials through effective communication.
• Prepare electronic written reports of audit findings and complete internal paperwork.
• Maintain equipment per company policy and manufacturer specifications.
