Interstates is seeking a Field Engineer III to join our nationwide traveling team. You will be the technical bridge among engineering, construction, and clients, working onsite on industrial projects and delivering value from kickoff to completion.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction/field engineering, a PE license or pursuit, and strong communication, problem-solving, and Excel skills. This role offers field leadership and growth across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or related field.
• Five+ years in construction, field engineering, or related role.
• PE license or intent to obtain licensure.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and field coordination.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and specs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and project management software.

Responsibilities

• As Field Engineer III, act as trusted technical resource on active jobsites.
• Review electrical designs and validate installations during construction.
• Liaise between engineering, construction, clients, vendors, and partner firms.
• Build client relationships through regular communication.
• Lead small projects and coordinate across engineering disciplines.
• Assist with proposals, estimates, and RFIs.
• Mentor teammates with delegation and guidance.
• Represent owner's interests to ensure project expectations are met.
• Support 3D/BIM coordination and as-built documentation.
