Interstates is hiring a Field Engineer III to lead technical efforts on industrial projects across the United States. You’ll bridge engineering, construction, and client needs, solving real-world challenges onsite while mentoring teammates and coordinating across disciplines.

The role emphasizes ownership of technical issues, strong client communication, and impact from kickoff to completion on major projects. Extensive travel and collaboration with diverse teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or related field.
• PE license or the desire and qualifications to obtain licensure.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, field coordination, and project execution.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on active jobsites and respond to field or client issues.
• Review electrical designs and validate installations during construction.
• Serve as liaison between engineering, construction teams, clients, vendors, and partner firms.
• Build client relationships through regular communication during and between projects.
• Lead small projects while coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Support project pursuits by collaborating with project managers and estimators on proposals.
• Mentor team members through delegation and technical guidance.
• Act as owner's representative to ensure project expectations are met.
• Assist with estimating specification reviews and RFIs.
