Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Field Engineer II in Newark, NJ to learn and perform the tasks of Project Engineer and Superintendent functions in the field. You will participate in training through Gilbane University while supporting project teams to deliver safe, on-time results.

Ideal candidates will hold a engineering or construction management degree and bring 1–2 years of related internship experience, with OSHA 30 certification, Procore knowledge, and strong communication skills to thrive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 1–2 years of experience or internships with a construction organization.
• OSHA 30 hour certification required.
• Knowledge of Procore.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Engineers, Project Managers and Superintendents to distribute project information.
• Ensure contract documents and logs are up to date in real time.
• Prepare status reports on RFIs, submittals and other documents.
• Assist in reviewing scopes of work and cost reports.
• Promote safety and quality control on site.
