Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer for our Southern California District, based in Costa Mesa. You will help interpret drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and assist in planning, surveying, and safety processes on major civil projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, construction management, mining, or geotechnical engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationally.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Previous internship experience preferred and sponsorship not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs by measuring and calculating materials.
• Assist in preparing work plans, packages, and JHA's.
• Support field surveying, layout, and as-built data collection.
• Assist with job cost data entry and cost reports.
• Support procurement, subcontractor coordination, and change orders.
