Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Field Engineer I to service customers across Indianapolis, IN. The role includes installing, maintaining and upgrading electromechanical equipment in hospital and clinic settings, with company-provided car, gas card, cell phone and laptop.

Strong travel is required, including overnight trips in training phases. Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field service experience, plus 4+ years in field

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field service experience.
• Minimum 4 years installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field.
• Must be a team player, self-motivated, and able to communicate clearly in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair and modify electromechanical equipment in customer sites.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and determine suitable technical solutions per specifications.
• Provide on-site technical training and act as the local representative to customers.
• Manage territory responsibilities including preventive maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, and parts control.
• Travel up to 75% post-training and maintain a valid driver's license.

Education

Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
