Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a Project Engineer progressive role with three steps (I, II, Senior). You will assist in information flow, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and maintaining project records; you’ll build relationships with project stakeholders and support PMP adherence.

The role emphasizes safety culture, cost control, and coordination of BIM between subs and designers. Entry-level requires a construction degree or equivalent experience, with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position typically requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to assume responsibility and interface/communicate effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks; assists with submittals, change orders, RFIs, and budget forecasting.
• Maintains professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers; supports project management plans and change management processes.
• Ensures administration of the project quality management plan and promotes a culture of safety.
• May assist in calculating daily production rates and unit costs; participates in risk management and cost control activities.
• May oversee BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers.
• May handle LEED certification documentation and update Digital Record Drawings (ORD).
• May provide lines, grades, and layout; maintain a project logbook.
• Provides weekly quantity data and supports budgeting and cost-control processes.
• Supports superintendents in execution of work and helps resolve field issues.
