Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Engineers and field leadership with day-to-day project activities.
  • Develop understanding of heavy highway construction means and methods.
  • Track project progress, production quantities, and field productivity.
  • Participate in daily planning meetings and project coordination.
  • Support jobsite logistics and field-office communication.
  • Assist with daily reports, project documentation, records, photographs, and tracking logs.
  • Support submittal, RFI, and document control processes.
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Participate in field inspections and quality control activities.
  • Verify work is completed according to project requirements.
  • Support safety initiatives, jobsite compliance, safety meetings, and training.
  • Learn project management fundamentals, scheduling awareness, cost control, and construction planning.
  • Receive mentorship and progress toward a Project Engineer role
