Job summary

ACCIONA is a global infrastructure leader delivering the SR400 Express Lanes project in Georgia. We seek a Field Engineer to support construction operations, coordinate field activities, and drive project success on site.

Responsibilities include daily field meetings, layout planning, shop drawing analysis, and tracking production and costs using SR400's WBS. You will coordinate with subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year field engineering or construction experience on heavy civil or DOT projects.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to access active work zones safely.
• Familiarity with GDOT specifications, AASHTO guidelines, and traffic control standards.
• Strong working knowledge of construction documents, layout, and field reporting tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam; scheduling software is a plus (Primavera P6).
• Experience with Procore, CMiC or similar document management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily meetings with field crews to confirm schedule, material deliveries, and equipment.
• Assist in field layout planning, utility marking, and permit tracking.
• Analyze shop drawings, submittals, specifications, and contracts for conflicts.
• Record daily production quantities and costs using SR400's Work Breakdown Structure.
• Evaluate progress and alert supervisors to delays; contribute to weekly 3-week lookahead updates.
• Document daily activities with Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS.
• Support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety inspections, and environmental compliance.
• Prepare reports, inspection requests, and quality checklists; participate in inspections.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on sequencing, logistics, and safety plan compliance.
• Assist in project closeout by reconciling quantities, completing punch lists, and compiling documentation.
