Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Construction Technical Engineer to support the SR400 Express Lanes Project in Georgia. The role coordinates temporary works design, including demolition sequencing, pavements, walls, and shoring, while also supporting permanent design packages and field changes.

You will be the main technical liaison to the construction team, coordinating with subconsultants and design teams to ensure timely delivery, constructability, and adherence to project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• More than 7 years of experience supporting heavy civil or transportation construction projects.
• Strong understanding of temporary works, construction sequencing, and field engineering support.
• Familiarity with GDOT standards, specifications, and review processes.
• Experience coordinating with design teams and subconsultants.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities to support construction, focusing on temporary works design like demolition sequencing, pavements, walls, embankments, shoring and staging.
• Act as the main technical liaison between construction team and Technical Office, ensuring designs meet field needs.
• Coordinate with subconsultants, design coordinators, and internal disciplines to deliver designs on time.
• Provide engineering support for permanent works as project progresses and field changes are addressed.
• Manage RFIs, submittals and shop drawings through review cycles and formal closures.
