Job summary

Kiewit, a leader in heavy civil infrastructure, seeks an experienced Field Engineer to support field and office engineering tasks on major projects. You will perform field and office takeoffs, scheduling, and coordination with trades, while ensuring safety and quality on the job site.

You will contribute to planning, executing, and controlling project activities, with opportunities to advance in a dynamic, relocation-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of CPM, scheduling, material controls, estimating, subcontracts, change orders, and documentation control.
• Experience leading people and coordinating on-site and office teams with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements to determine completed/installed work.
• Assist in preparing work plans, packages, and job hazard analyses.
• Support field surveying, layout, elevations, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in daily labor data, timesheets, and cost reporting at the site.
• Participate in safety reviews, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups on-site.
• Supervise field operations and subcontractor activities.
