VINCI Construction Grands Projets USA is seeking a Construction Engineer to support a major I-64 design-build venture in Virginia. The role requires a civil engineering or related degree and 1+ years on heavy civil projects, with experience in drawings, specs, and field layout.

You will coordinate subcontractors, assist estimating, and monitor production against schedule and budget. Ideal candidates are proactive, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced site environment, and proficient in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 1+ years of construction engineering experience on heavy civil construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawing & specifications, building materials and required standards applicable to the project.
• Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Collects, coordinates, and analyzes drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data.
• Plans field layout on the project site and marks utility and commercial lines before production begins.
• Assists the estimating team with project schedules and provides technical input.
• Coordinates subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews as needed.
• Meets daily with project crews to review production schedule and ensure materials and resources are available.
• Provides technical input for project work plan and scheduling; identifies risk elements.
• Evaluates daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track performance.
• Documents daily activities in approved methods and technologies.
• Notifies team of schedule changes and suggests solutions for management.
