Job summary

Shimmick Corporation seeks an experienced Project Engineer to support the Daly City Vista Grande Drainage Basin Improvements project in Daly City, CA. You will work with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to schedules and budgets.

The role offers exposure to heavy civil construction, with opportunities to lead field activities, manage RFIs and submittals, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of heavy civil construction experience required.
• Heavy civil project experience involving earthworks and/or concrete structures, with subcontractor management and RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day project activities and field operations.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.
• Support cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance efforts.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance on-site.
• Facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders.
