Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Bellevue, WA seeks a Field Engineer to support project teams by coordinating field operations, working with trade partners, and tracking costs and quantities to help deliver complex projects on schedule and safely.

Responsibilities include mentoring inspectors, coordinating with the superintendent, maintaining document control, and assisting with RFIs, shop drawings, and change orders while safeguarding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 0 to 8–12 months of field engineer/coordinator experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, methods and procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices.
• Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning.
• Maintains project document control and procedures; supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors (RFIs, shop drawings, changes, billings).
• Participates in supervision of self-perform scopes, including labor and quantity tracking for LCRs.
• Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns.
• Identifies on-site issues and coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Participates in crafting and supervising quality plans and ITPs.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all partners.
