Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to support several highway projects across the United States. The role will initially support the Estimating Team in the Charlotte, NC office and then transfer to a site.

The position involves coordinating with the estimating team and field activities, performing take-offs, preparing cost and time estimates, and ensuring project requirements are met through both office and field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Handles both office and field responsibilities to meet the project requirements, including implementation of scheduled work and tracking data.
• Assists in the scheduling and planning of project activities.
• Prepares cost and time estimates to aid in meeting budget.
• Performs take-offs.
• Creates submittals.
• Assists with survey activities.
• Tracks job quantities and costs during project activities.
• Identifies conflicts between design plans and onsite conditions.
• Coordinates with third party utility providers to ensure all utilities are identified and located prior to work execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
