Job summary

Interstates is seeking a Field Engineer to bridge engineering and construction on national projects. You will validate designs, coordinate between teams, and ensure installations meet specifications across US job sites.

The role requires a ABET-accredited engineering degree and willingness to travel up to 100%. A background in electrical construction and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction or Electrical engineering or ABET-accredited program.
• Experience interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
• Able to read and interpret documents, specs, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison between engineering and construction groups.
• Assist construction staff and project engineer in validating design and resolving issues.
• Validate project design to field conditions and equipment requirements.
• Cross-check and verify project design documents to eliminate discrepancies.
• Review equipment submittals for alignment with design.
• Assist with data gathering to complete design and maintain InterTrak database.
• Support field teams in meeting project specifications and installation requirements.
• Ensure electrical gear installations meet manufacturer requirements and project specs.
• Document as-built information and coordinate BIM/3D model work.
• Other duties as assigned.
