Job summary

ECNS Global Consultants, PLLC seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer I-III to lead electrical power system commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover. You will develop plans, perform tests, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited EE degrees, 1–3 years for Engineer I, or more for II/III, FE/PE preferences, and willingness to travel up to 100% for field work.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in electrical engineering ABET-accredited.
• FE certification preferred; PE license preferred but not required.
• Travel and valid driver's license required.
• Experience with commissioning, testing, startup of utility, industrial, or power systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support commissioning, testing, startup, and turnover activities for electrical power systems and equipment.
• Develop and perform commissioning procedures, test plans, and documentation for MV/LV systems, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and related infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient system operation.
• Coordinate commissioning activities with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and commissioning deliverables commensurate with experience level.
• Lead field testing activities, oversee commissioning execution, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, and project documentation.
• Commissioning Engineer III: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and commissioning personnel, as appropriate.
