Job summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to support expanding data center projects across the Northwest. The role involves mentoring inspections, coordinating with superintendents, and managing document control for trade contractors.

A related degree and strong communication skills are essential. Projects span Washington and Oregon, with regional relocation possible as assignments require.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in a related field: construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
• Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning.
• Maintains project document control and procedures. Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Participates in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs).
• Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns).
• Identifies issues on- site or in defined work scopes.
• Coordinates third- party inspections and site reviews.
• Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Develop and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners.
