Job summary

Pulice is seeking a Field Engineer to lead technical aspects on construction projects in McAllen, TX. You will provide engineering information to ensure compliance with standards, codes and contract specs. You will collaborate across crews to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of construction engineering experience, with foundational knowledge of equipment, drawings and materials.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in construction engineering or related field.
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications and building materials.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review schedule and ensure materials, equipment and resources are available.
• Collect, coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specs and material data for quality and compliance.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling; identify risks affecting budget or schedule.
• Monitor daily production, schedule and budget projections and document activities.
• Review and approve daily timecards; coordinate with office and payroll as needed.
• Review project specs for QA at start, during, and after work; manage certificates and inspections.
• Plan field layout and mark utilities; initiate permits before work begins.
• Assist in development of design drawings and provide technical input.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedule and crews.
