Job summary

FlatironDragados seeks an experienced Field Engineer to lead on the Delta Diablo Sanitation District project in Antioch, CA. You will be the technical expert ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and contract specs, guiding field teams to success.

You will review production schedules, analyze drawings and data, identify risks, and support cost control while coordinating with crews and subcontractors to keep the project on budget and on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of construction engineering, scheduling or design experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of cost coding and budgeting.
• Scheduling processes and industry best practices.
• Construction engineering experience or knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily with project crews to review schedule and ensure materials are available for production to continue on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data for compliance.
• Provide technical input for work plan and identify risks affecting budget or schedule.
• Track project performance and document daily activities using approved methods.
• Review and approve daily timecards with payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Plan field layout, obtain permits, and ensure markings before production begins.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and attend weekly safety meetings with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules and crews.
