Job summary

Bilfinger is seeking a Field Engineer to assist the construction project team with field reports, scoping, estimating, procurement, submittals, and related tasks. Candidates should have construction industry experience with commercial or industrial GC backgrounds and be proficient in estimating, design, and scheduling software.

The role requires knowledge of construction means and methods, with blueprint reading as a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction with a commercial or industrial general contractor.
• Estimating, design, and scheduling software highly desired.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Blueprint reading a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Project Support: assist with daily reports, scopes of work, procurement, AutoCAD as-built drawings, and bid support.
• Estimating: develop detailed line-item takeoffs and pricing, input into line-item software (RS Means or similar).
• Subcontractor Support: prepare bid documents, gather subcontractor quotes and safety information, assist with progress payments and subcontracts.
• Scheduling: help develop and maintain project schedules.
• Safety: ensure compliance with HSEQ guidelines and local requirements (OSHA, EM385.1.1).
