Job summary

SUMMIT ECS, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Charlotte, NC Office in the Construction Materials Testing Department. This position involves performing field activities like density testing, material quantification, and concrete sampling. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.

Ideal applicants will have 1-3 years of direct construction materials testing experience and preferred certifications. We offer competitive compensation and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of construction material testing experience.
• NCDOT Asphalt Certified or Engineer in Training Certification.
• Certifications from ACI, ICC, NICET, NCDOT or SCDOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field density testing including Shelby tube and sand cone.
• Conduct material quantification and concrete sampling/testing.
