Job summary

EXP Services Inc. is seeking a Construction Inspector/Field Engineer in New York. You will join the construction team to support ongoing projects and gain exposure to experienced engineers.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, documenting findings, material testing, and ensuring compliance with codes. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 1–3 years of field QA experience, with travel to project sites and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction inspection or quality control.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Experience with field testing procedures and QA techniques.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with plans and regulations.
• Monitor progress; document findings via reports, photos, and notes.
• Identify deficiencies or safety concerns and report deviations.
• Perform material testing and verify conformance to specs.
• Ensure compliance with codes and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with contractors and project managers to address issues.
• Review blueprints and contract docs for project alignment.
• Inspect grading, drainage, concrete, utilities, and structures.
• Document daily activities and site challenges.
• Participate in progress meetings and advise on quality improvements.
