Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer to provide surveying services ensuring construction work aligns with design drawings. The role requires coordinating surveyors, managing layout and quantities, and maintaining accurate daily records for supervision teams.

The candidate will support field operations, travel to project sites, and uphold safety policies while ensuring quality control across sites.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency.
2 years of technical and/or surveying experience.
1 year of prior construction surveying experience.
Effective and Efficient decision maker.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Advanced/Excellent trigonometric/geometric skills.
High school level language and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

Reviews plans and computes information for progress with the work.
Measures and records quantities in daily logs using engineering notation.
Administers/schedules all surveyors (including subcontracted) on the project.
Organizes and supervises project survey work.
Responsible for layout (vertical and horizontal) control work with survey equipment.
Compares in place work against drawings and specifications for accuracy.
Stakes accurately and completely before work begins.
Enforces and adheres to all safety policies.
