Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Field Engineer to analyze customer needs and integrate Valmet products into client systems, performing design analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation under supervision.

You will lead or participate in DCS projects, develop software, perform configuration management and QA, and provide on-site customer support. Travel is required; a Bachelor's degree and 4–7 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 4–7 years of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of algorithm design and programming logic.
• Exhibit proficient problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Engineer and/or project team member for DCS projects.
• Analyze, design, Implement, test and document project applications software using various Valmet product tools.
• Code and/or assist in coding and test of project custom software.
• Execute Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures on projects.
• Provide on-site customer support as needed.
• Have direct customer interaction usually associated with project software modifications.
• Develop and/or assist in technical proposal preparation.
• Proficient problem-solving capabilities
• Perform related duties as assigned
