Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Field Engineer to analyze customer needs and integrate Valmet products into client systems, performing design analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation under supervision.

You will lead or participate in DCS projects, develop software, perform configuration management and QA, and provide on-site customer support. Travel is required; a Bachelor's degree and 4–7 years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of algorithm design and programming logic.
• Exhibit proficient problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

As a Field Engineer you will analyze customer needs and seek solutions to customer design problems in order to integrate Company products into customers' systems or subsystems, apply current products to increase market penetration. Note: Some travel required.

Knowledge Preferred: Process instrumentation, control and automation practices.

To be successful in this role, you must be electro-mechanically inclined, self-guided, and have a strong work ethic.

This position requires a valid driver's license. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US and the position is not open for relocation.
