Job summary

Scale AI is hiring a Field Engineer to work with federal AI projects and guide customers through building production-grade data pipelines. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to understand use cases and deliver tailored tools and docs that enable long-term success.

The ideal candidate is a generalist software engineer who thrives in a client-facing environment, translating ambiguous problems into practical solutions and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical experience working with clients in a pre- or post-sales capacity.
• Development experience with Python, JavaScript, or other modern languages.
• Strong engineering background in CS, math, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end data integrations that sync customer data to Scale's platform.
• Work with customers' engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and APIs.
• Design and maintain playbooks, tools, docs, and SDKs for long-term success.
• Resolve technical blockers and own escalations from customers.
• Own the customer's technical experience throughout their time with Scale.
