Scale is seeking a Field Engineer to work with federal public sector customers, building production-grade data pipelines and tooling to ensure smooth deployment of Scale's AI platform. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to learn customer use cases and deliver practical solutions.

The ideal candidate is a generalist software engineer who can handle ambiguous problems, work with clients, and communicate across teams. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Formación

• Experience as a customer-facing engineer or in a similar hybrid role.
• Hands-on technical experience working with clients in a pre- or post-sales capacity.
• Development experience with Python, JavaScript, or other modern languages.
• A strong engineering background, ideally in computer science, mathematics, or another quantitative field.
• Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to present credibly to both executives and front-line engineers.
• Comfort communicating across internal and external teams.
• Intellectual curiosity, empathy, and the ability to move quickly.

Responsabilidades

• Build end-to-end data integrations that sync customer data to and from Scale's platform.
• Work with customers' engineering teams to optimize data pipelines, including input on API endpoint design and input/output schemas.
• Design and maintain playbooks, internal tools, documentation, and SDKs that set customers up for long-term success.
• Partner with engineers and Operations to resolve technical blockers, debug delivery issues, and own technical escalations from customers.
• Own the customer's technical experience throughout their time with Scale.
• Work with Account Executives and Product Managers to identify customer-specific feature requests.
• Develop expertise in large language models, 2D image annotation, and API integrations.
• Represent Scale and engage with customers at major events.
